With the current situation many of us find ourselves in, from self-quarantine to citywide stay-at-home orders, a large portion of the world is now working remotely. Here at Summit Sotheby’s, we too have transitioned our agents and support staff out of the shared, collaborative office spaces we normally work in to our own homes. Though we may be working remotely these days, our services and operations are still at the same level of excellence that we have always provided. We are meeting new challenges head on and are making the necessary adjustments to better serve you – our clients, colleagues, community and friends – in today’s new normal. We remain committed to providing a luxury, full-service experience for every client, regardless of area or price-point.
For many of our hardworking agents, a home office or dedicated workspace is a necessity – the real estate market never takes a day off and agents are always on call. However, for our support staff who have previously always worked in an office setting, the notion of working from home presents its own set of challenges. Desks have been hastily assembled and guest bedrooms have now transitioned into makeshift offices. Lessons were quickly learned about balancing home and work life at the same time, simultaneously juggling the demands of family and work as children and pets join virtual meetings and conference calls. Despite the challenges, we’ve always found that the greatest growth comes from the most difficult of circumstances, and our team has proven more than up to the task. We have no doubt that we will emerge from the trials of today having raised the bar on our own abilities and expectations as a company.
We decided to share candid snapshots of our home offices in today’s new reality as we take on the challenge of working remotely and embrace the changes that come with it. While we remain physically apart and work to stay healthy and safe, we’re all in this together.
