Utah ski and snowboard resorts make the ultimate winter vacation destinations. The Salt Lake City resorts are all located in beautiful, steep canyons with spectacular views of the Salt Lake Valley, each just minutes from downtown Salt Lake City. With many lodging options available, stay in the city and drive to a different resort each day. Or never leave the mountain, with ski in/ski out options available at most of the area resorts. Several resorts also offer trip packages bundling lift passes with lodging. Our resorts average 500 inches annually of the driest, lightest powder on the planet, perfectly located to take full advantage of the additional snowfall generated from Utah's weather phenomenon, known as the "lake effect".
Utah is not just known for their skiing and snowboarding. Many like to take part in other winter activities such as snowmobiling, snowshoeing, tubing, sledding, and more! Utah really does offer it all!
Some Important Things to Note
- Reservations may be required to ski/snowboard
- Dogs are not allowed in both Little Cottonwood and Big Cottonwood Canyons in both the summer and winter months.
- Each resort may have different requirements with regard to masks
- Alta and Deer Valley do NOT allow snowboarders
In addition to the winter fun, each of these resorts offers a plethora of summer activities as well. Come Springtime, The Linsey and Leake website will be your go to destination for knowing about all the summer activities that these resorts have to offer.
